By matching the first 7 days data and the data between days 8-/4 we intended, to achieve whether there was a duration of steroid effect one week later after the steroid administration. Study Design: We included subjects who attended to our perinatology clinic and gave birth between 28th and 34th weeks of gestational age. The data of the subjects and the babies given birth were retrospectively evaluated. Eighty-two subject who filled the study criteria were included to the study. Fifty- nine pregnant women who completed their betamethasone protocol and gave birth between 1-7 days, formed the group I. the rest 23 pregnant women who gave birth between days 8-14 formed the group 2. Results: There was no significant statistical difference between the groups about the most frequently observed neonatal complications.(Rrespiratory distress syndrome (RDS), int- raventricular hemorrhage (IVH), necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia) Conclusions: There was no significant statistical difference between the groups about the most frequently observed neonatal complications.
